What is it?

An evidence-based, physiotherapist-led, 8-week strength and balance group exercise programme. Specifically designed for older adults.

Who is it for?

If you, or anyone you know, can relate to any of the following, then Strong & Steady is for you.

  • Difficulty getting up from a chair

  • Have concerns about balance

  • Walking up/ down stairs has become difficult

  • Diagnosis of Osteopenia or Osteoporosis

  • Missed out on post-operative rehabilitation due to Covid restrictions/ unforeseen event

  • Desire to maintain strength and balance in a safe manner

How does it work?

The Strong & Steady programme has been adapted from evidence-based physiotherapy interventions, to specifically target the functional limitations that occur with age.

Each participant must undergo a one-on-one session to determine specific goals and address any concerns, prior to joining the exercise group.
